I’ve received the message saying:
EE: We were unable to process your payment, please update your billing at <link removed>
I’ve paid my recent bill and new one is on January… Is this a scam? What if I clicked on this link and logged in?
Thanks

Hello @Tojarybka
It's a scam. Report this by texting the Message and Number to 7726.

That link is not to the ee.co.uk website, and no reputable company would ever ask you to "click here to update" any details - that's a classic phishing technique.
The fact that you're saying your payments are up-to-date should be ringing alarm bells. I'd recommend forwarding this message to 7726 (SPAM on your phone's keypad) to report it, and then delete it. If you have clicked the link and submitted any details, consider those details to be in the hands of spammers and change any passwords ASAP.

It's a scam! There are many of these going the rounds. EE would never send you a msg asking you to click on a link in order to update your a/c.
If you clicked on the link & logged in you've given away your email addy & pwd. Change your pwd everywhere you use it. If you went further & gave away personal details you're in trouble. If you gave away your banking details contact your bank.
Report it to your network provider by forwarding the text to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).

Hi, over the past week I’ve started getting this spam/phishing SMS too, from
EE: We faiIed to take payment for your recent biII. To avoid fees and termination of your services, go to: https://ee-update-***
from three different numbers:
+44 7396 871736
+44 7303 060239
+44 7303 059747
i forwarded to the SPAM reporting shortcode, 7726 - though oddly, every time the service immediately responded thanking me for sending the originating number which I hadn’t yet done. When I then sent the originating number it asked me to send the number as if that were the spam message.
Something is out of sync in that service.

Hi @DerekRo
Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. It's so important to get these numbers reported!
When reporting to 7726 for further investigation, forward the message you've received to begin with. From there, you should get an acknowledgment message thanking you for your report and to reply with the number that messaged you. You then send the number that messaged you, and you should get another message from us thanking you for reporting the number.
I'm not too sure why things are going out of sync for you, but send the content received first, and then the number it came from. If you have another to report, you follow the same order.
I hope that helps.

Hi @Kjmo
Welcome to the Community!
Thanks for letting us know about this. If you forward this message to 7726, then our team will be able to investigate the origins of this. I would recommend not following any links or entering your details.

Yes have already reported it.
However it would be good just to have a report button on the texts because I found it a bit of awkward and accidentally dialled the number while trying to forward the information.
