Received password email reset without asking for it

My wife has received a password reset email without asking for it. And her number has been spoofed and used to contact her mum and ask for money.
When we called EE the call was cut off 3 times and then the office closed so we are left feeling vulnerable overnight. Advice.

@10suds10 you go the account and you change the password,  you do not use any links provided to get to the  account.     Unfortunately EE can not stop spoof calling.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hello @10suds10

Thanks for coming here.

Do you have the email address it came from?

I would recommend reporting this and also giving us a call once our offices are open at 8am.

A member of our team will be able to look into this further for you.

It would be great if you could also keep us updated here on the Community.
