Plan.com

I’ve just received a call from plan.com to say that they are business partners and can help half the costs that I am paying: it seemed initially like they were from EE but the documentation was from plan.com. When I questioned it they said they’d call back once I have read up what I need to. Does anyone know if this is a scam?

Hi @Steve077

I'm sorry to hear of your experience with plan.com. Did they send you any paperwork or confirmation of the plan amount and length? You should have a 14 day cooling off period to return anything to them is something isn't right.

Chris

Hi it was a business plan so no cooling off period which she wasn't informed of . Not sure if she got any paperwork.  Got recording of conversation which does not show the first part of call where a female introduces herself as from EE then passes wife onto a male who sold her the plan . Also I might add that he read her the conditions AFTER he had got her to open email with contract rushed her through it then got her to sign it . Also they said she didn't have to worry about finishing her EE plan as they would sort it and wasn't her concern all on recording . EE sent her a bill for £ 200 +

Hello StampL

Beware that they will quote you a price BEFORE tax (quoted me £55 but then I was charged £66). And furthermore you will be tied to their contract for 3yrs.

On top of what they have done to me, I've also been experiencing problems receiving texts from my friend.

The choice is yours. Good Luck

Hi, did you manage to resolve this? The same has happened to me.

Hi All
I have had many call's from them on different numbers each time I said I had been contacted before by them and to remove my data from the call list this has still not happened I recommend you all email them for your SAR from PLAN.com using the detail below

Hi Liam

Thanks for the update but when you have up to 10 calls from them saying they can offer a better deal and plan from you and I ask them to stop calling and remove my data from their list and they still keep calling that is a big data problem!

If I ask them to stop and they don't that is bad data management and a waste of my time and any other person who has said the same to them can raise the issue with there Data Protection Officer is Gregg Knowles.

I think that is fair if the caller can't stop calling go to the person who looks after the data they hold about me as I never gave permission for them to have it in the first place!

kind regards

Simon

I was just told by EE that plan.com is a scam. My 83 mother was sold a 36 month business contract with them via Prestige Telecom. It's totally inappropriate and a contract she can't seemingly get out of. Please contact me if anyone has any advice. I spoke to Citizens Advice bureau and they said we should request they wind back the contract but Prestige Telecom refuse and say it was not an mis-sale. They say she ticked boxes that has signed her into a binding contract and to get out of it she must pay £1120. She initially thought she was being contacted by EE but then when they told her they were a 'partner' said they could cut her calls in half she fell for it. Its so upsetting that no one seems able to help us

Yes, the problem with my mother in her 80s is that she is hard of hearing
