Elderly neighbour recieved a phone call from a UK number claiming to be EE. 02045382530. The call was offering a discount in contract price to £7 a month if she told them her email. After she did this the caller knew her address, postcode, and full name. She then received an email asking to reset EE app password and told the caller the number in the email, then the confirmation email was sent to her saying her password had been changed. She was told that the paperwork would be sent to her tomorrow and that she shouldn't log into her EE account for 24-48 hours. I ignored this and reset her password again quite quickly. Just wondering if I did the right thing and this is a scam or if it's a genuine EE discount as they did know her details before they were told the number to reset password of the account.

Hi @papayahat
Thanks for coming to the community.
I would advise the account holder gives us a call on 150 to check the account and the team will help get this call and offer looked into.
Let me know how they get on.
Leanne.
