Hi, i received 3 redirected mails from my old address from EE.

One was thanking me for opening and EE account and setting up direct debt with them

The other was about a removing content lock and the third was apologising for opening an account with my name old address and bank details.

I dont understand how it is possible to open an account in my name with my bank details and then the next day find out that i had not opened account. The final letter thanked me for letting them know that I did not open an account.

I have never been with EE nor did i do all the above.

This has stressed me out knowing that someone with my name bank details and old address can open an account without EE doing a thorough check before the fact.

I want to know how i can proceed with this matter further because of all the stress and all the time i wasted dealing with this issue.

Hi @max1235

I am very sorry to hear this has happened and would like to help you get this looked into.

You will have a private message on the community from me, if you can take a look and get back to me that would be great.

Leanne.

@max1235   The information was provided to EE by someone who got that information that has nothing to with EE. How that person got that information still has nothing todo with EE.  This information can be obtained via your rubbish/what you post on social media and other means that you openly giveaway about yourself.

EE did a check on that information provided and that information was ok.
