i feel so dumb. i turned 50 today so maybe im old and gullible as normally vigilant but i was busy when they above number called saying they were EE and that im on a 5G tariff but my sim is only 4G which i think is correct as it was a PAYG sim before i moved to pay monthly. So assumed nothing else. They asked for the security code number from EE so i assumed because i got those they were EE, they asked for my email too. which i game stupidly. now i cant access my account and it sayd on the app it was deleted. I lost my job earlier this year and have had a lot of stress with money and trying to find work so have been quite an easy target.

Hello @jecusick,

I am really sorry to hear you have been scammed recently, it is an awful feeling when it happens. Just to confirm have you reported the fraud to our team on 150?

We have a help page here which you may find helpful with information for information on how to spot and avoid scams. It also has a link to report the number that called to us and also a link to a list of numbers that we do call from for the future. Avoid Scams | Security Help | EE
