Hello @Skywalker100 ,
Welcome to the community,
You can check here for EE phone numbers and their partners:
https://ee.co.uk/help/profile/manage/phone-calls-from-our-partners
So long as you did not give any personal information, you will be ok, but if your SIM card is working ok, then you do not need a new one and you can request a replacement SIM card yourself.
I doubt very much that this is genuine, as EE do not ring up asking you to change your SIM card, nor do they ask for personal information, such as bank details etc. There are plenty of scams about, trying to trick you into thinking it is from EE. I had one saying I could get 50% of my bill, but I said I already get 50% off my bill and they hang up.

Hi there @Skywalker100
Thanks for coming to the community.
Just to add, if the number is not listed on the direct partners list, you can call us on 150 and the team will check if anyone from the team has contacted you at all and if you provided any details they can make sure no account changes have been made.
There is some handy information on how to manage and report scam calls on our How to avoid and prevent scams: phishing, vishing and smishing page.
Leanne 🙂
