Cold call offering reward for being a good customer

hydrogenbomber

Received a call this morning , my phone showed it as from EE

Said it was a call to say thanks for being good customer over the years.

Sent a OTP for verification and confirmed details.  He knew details of my contract such as data allowance and phone type.

Sent another link to go through an online document together and see what was on offer.

Had to hang up as too busy to go through with it.

Have been thinking since, is this some sort of scam? I've never heard of a company offering stuff just for being a long term customer, and I'm not due a renewal anytime soon.
