Call from number claiming to be EE

I received a call today from 07850 085549 claiming to be from EE. 
It isn’t a number listed as you official partners. He claimed to be calling regarding reducing my phone bill.

is this likely to be a scam call?

This certainly looks like a scam call.

Did the person ask for any personal details? If so, definitely a scam call. 

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
