0845 - five second cold calls

I am getting two to three, (five second) cold calls from 0845 numbers, and it seems the only way to stop this is to "block" every call but the number appart from the 0845 section changes every time. why can EE not give us a way of rejecting any number that has the prefix of 0845? its 2022, we have the know how, why is it not being offered? at this point it feels like mental Harassment! there is also no option to report or discuss this offered on the 150 "customer service' number. any others having to deal with this?

There is nothing you can do, as blocking them, they will call with a different number, the only way would be to change your numbe,r nothing EE can do. Wondering what you expect EE to do? No, I do not have this problem, also many 0845 numbers are legal and legitimate, and could be important if all were blocked.

Report it to your network provider by texting CALL <space> Phone_no to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).

No legitimate company or organisation will ever call from a premium rate number such as 0845 or 0843, because to call them back will incur huge premium rate charges on the consumer.

So although 0854 and 0843 are legitimate numbers, they are only used as a number for people to call in. Legitimate companies will call or message from a regular number, and if they need people to call in on a premium rate number they will advise them of the extra charges before the consumer calls them. 

Any number that calls the user from a premium rate number is therefore a scam.designes to encourage people to return the call on a premium number to gain from the additional charges from calling their premium rate number.

There should be a way of barring incoming cash from premium numbers, this will still allow the consumer to make outgoing calls to a premium number when they need or want to, while preventing scammers from calling in on those numbers.
