Your post has been moved to a dedicated new thread.

Your question seems a little ambiguous, you're referencing a SIM but all this does is enable a mobile network connection for a phone to make/receive calls, send/receive texts and use mobile data. If all you want to do is transfer user-data (contacts, messages, photos, videos etc) between two devices, you don't need a SIM to do that.

To transfer your mobile phone number from one phone to another, you simply move your SIM into whatever phone you want to use. That doesn't have anything to do with the user data on each phone.

Welcome to the Community, @Lisa355.

If you no longer have the SIM from your previous phone, and haven't received a new one, you won't be able to swap this over or switch to an eSIM during quick start.

We can certainly look into getting you a new SIM with your number though, and the quickest way will probably be to visit one of our retail stores.

Provided you have a valid passport or UK driving licence, you can get an on the day SIM replacement free of charge.

Alternatively we can order a replacement SIM for you over the phone to be sent via post, but you would ned to call us from another device on 07953 966 150.
