sim not working in new iphone

Hi,

so i've had an EE sim for several years now and bought a phone on Sky mobile recently, unlocked. Once i put my current sim into the phone it stopped working, only showing 'no signal' and saying 'sim not provisioned' in settings, but the phone is recognising the EE sim. I put the free Sky sim into my phone that came with it and that worked right away. Took the phone into an EE store today and they had no idea what was going on and tried all the easy fixes with no results.

If you place your EE SIM back into the original device does it work OK?
