sim cards

I am upgrading my phone. My existing phone has a micro sim. All the modern phones have nano sims. Although I have seen gadgets that can trim them - it is said not to do this as the thickness and size dimensions are different. I am eager to keep the ee plan and data from my current sim but on a nano sim. I have read that a store can do this - how long would it take. I cannot be without a phone until it is done.

@Joy82 : Take phone & old SIM into an EE shop with Photo ID & they'll transfer number, any SIM contacts & credit if applicable to a replacement SIM of correct size for free or order a replacement SIM online at Order a replacement SIM for £1.50 or phone CS for one. It will come as a Combi-SIM with all 3 sizes as push-outs.

An EE store should be able to do it immediately.
