Abroad and SIM card stopped working

Hi guys. Hopefully is the right forums section. 

need some help. Me and spouse are abroad. Yesterday night suddenly her sim suddenly stopped working. I tried my sim into hers. It works fine and also when I put her sim into my phone same thing happens aka no sim inserted message. 
I guess we need to convert to esim asap but problem is we are abroad. Is there a possibility to get this done over the phone. Or how do people usually approach this situation. Thank you in advance!

It definitely seems odd that she would suddenly lose service here, and swapping the SIMs over is a great way of helping to identify where the issue likely lies. 

Fingers crossed this won't be the case, but we can't rule out the possibility of an unauthorised SIM swap on her number, so to be sure I'd definitely recommend giving our team a call from your working phone as soon as possible. 

They'll be able to make sure there hasn't been any unusual activity, and also check all the settings at our end to make sure things are as they should be, too.
