iPhone: Mobile Number issues after port

Hi,

I have an issue which is causing me not to be able to use my facetime/imessage - my mobile number was moved from old provider (Vodafone) to EE yesterday. Number ported, received confirmation etc. but  it still comes up as a EE sim card number, not my ported old number. When I call everything is ok, my old number comes up. Any ideas why this happens and how it can be sorted out, please? I've called EE support which connected me to Apple support. Nothing seems to be working.

I managed to fix it myself. The issue was that the sim card was saved with that number. I inserted another Sim card (different number) and therefore the old one was deleted. Then when I re-inserted my EE sim card my ported number was FINALLY showing up.

@hexanomad  turn off iMessage and FaceTime and restart the device then in settings/app’s /phone check that your number is displaying correct and if it is you can now re-enable iMessage and FaceTime

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
I have done this maybe 20 times with no success. 😅
