iPhone 6s to iPhone 13

I want to buy an iPhone 13 outright elsewhere (can’t see EE selling them like this anymore on the site) and then transfer the SIM card from my old EE iPhone 6s which was last upgraded to a SIM only deal more than 18 months ago.
Is this ok? Don’t want to upgrade phone on contract as this is more expensive overall and my 6s is dying slowly but surely.

@Ddcc : Yes, you may put your EE SIM in any device of your choice. Your plan is on the SIM, not the phone.
