Hello! 
I have come back from being away and on my settings it states I have eSims and I can switch between 2 eSIMs, but they’re the exact same number as my mobile device and this is something I haven’t asked for it has just appeared??? 
I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max!

Welcome to the community,

Where did you get the phone from, as only in the USA are IPhones that can have two ESims? Here the IPhones can only have one ESim and one physical SIM card.

Need a bit more clarity, as you can only have the number on one SIM card or ESim and unless you requested your number to be an ESim then it would be a physical SIM card. eSIMs are only available for contract customers.

Have you tried rebooting your phone, see if that resolves it?

Hello 

I got my phone from the UK on a contract! 
I’ve never asked for an eSIM it has just appeared! And when receiving messaging it comes up data1 ? 
I tried rebooting and it’s still the same! Really confusing

Do you still have your physical SIM?

If yes, are you able to test this in another device to see if it is active?

Yes still have the SIM card inserted In my phone! I don’t have another device I can test it on!
