eSim number porting

Hi. Just got my new ee esim set up. I entered a pac code when placing the order. Will i get a conformation text or email to tell me when the porting will take place? With previous networks ive always had updates on when it will take place and conformation that it will take place

Your new EE SIM will have a temporary number assigned when you first receive it. If a PAC was supplied as part of the order, that will be submitted when you first activate the new SIM onto EE's network.

A port-in date will be set then, usually the following working day. This assumes activation during normal working hours - if during the evening, add an extra working day to these timescales.

You should receive text message notifications to confirm the port-in-date.

How long after sim activation do you usually receive a text with the date? Usually i get it instant with previous networks

@Stuartc881  The migration of your number will commence tomorrow ( ie working day ) and you need to allow up to 24 hours.  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I did assume that would be the case. Just use to getting a confirmation text of when it will happen as soon as sim has been activated 

@Stuartc881 , you will get confirmation text, once the porting of your number has been completed from EE.

Just a wee update. Had to call customer services yesterday as I still had no updates. Turns out the porting wasn’t done for some reason so the agent done it for me and said it would transfer today. As soon as I hung up got a text confirming today being the transfer day. Done this morning by 8.30am
