Why have I got 2 numbers?

When moving to Ee I kept my old number, however, sometimes text messages are received from that temporary number. If you ring or text my original number that also comes through to my phone?

In settings on the SIM card it displays the incorrect number that I thought I had left behind. 

I changed this months ago, so it is not because I haven't waited long enough for changes to take effect.

I ended up ringing, they reset some settings (like what first get sent to your phone) which may have been mixed up before your number transfer. Unsure if this actually helped as I had to ring again anyway. 

The main thing that helped was in Messages -> settings -> chat features -> Enable chat features 

Turn enable chat features off and on again, similarly this was associated with the old number as I had used my phone before the transfer had gone through. 

If you are on an android device you might need to go to messages, then click your profile icon at the top to find 'message settings'

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

In searching the internet I have seen similar issues, looks like it's a hang up from when we first try to keep our numbers and it hasn't quite worked properly. 

A solution on a different provider was that they had to go in store and I think they ended up with a new SIM and trying again.

To get this looked into, please call us on 150 and the team will check the number has transferred correctly and let you know what is needed to get this resolved for you.

If some one calls me from a text that goes straight to Voicemail ASo I have turned off voicemail and it says number unavailable.???
