What’s going on with SIM activation

Had replacement SIM sent, arrived yesterday, phoned up to activate it, told it would take 24 hours. Waited 24 hours and still nothing, rang again 11 hours ago and they sent a request to activate it again. Still nothing.  Told if it’s not activated by tomorrow call again! Really? This is ridiculous

Waited another 24 hours. In the end I went to my local EE store with ID and the very helpful member of staff sorted it out and activated a new sim for me in 5 minutes. 👍🏻
