Transferring number

Hi, I ordered my SIM card with a 30 day saver pay as you go on Sunday, and as I read in the port section of the website it said it would port my number in 2 working days! Also it said it would give me a message stating that the port has started and one that will finish. The only message I got is one that said

“Hi from EE. We'll transfer your number by 6pm on 29/09. Thanks.”

That’s not 2 working days, that’s 20 days, I can’t stay without my number for 20 days, what is happening?
I tried to reach out by contact us but can’t find nothing.
does anyone one know if there been some issues with porting to take that long?

Your new EE SIM will have a temporary number assigned when you first receive it. If a PAC was supplied as part of the order, that will be submitted when you first activate the new SIM onto EE's network.

A port-in date will be set then, usually the following working day. This assumes activation during normal working hours - if during the evening, add an extra working day to these timescales.
