How to register a Sim card for a dongle, mobile Internet device

Is it a brand new SIM or a replacement for an existing one?

I bought a new EE SIM for my dongle and it is working fine but I don't know how to check what data I have used and how to add new data.  Please can you advise

New SIM cards should already be registered for you, unless this was a replacement SIM or upgrade with a new SIM card.
