Hello all
I hope you are all well.
I have recently been moved from BT to EE along with my Phone Number.
The Phone Number seems to have been moved over successfully, however, the Sim is still showing the Phone Number that came with the Sim.
Some sections of the Samsung Galaxy S21 takes the Phone Number from the Sim which is causing some issues for me.
I am Autistic with OCD so this issue is really annoying to me.
Is it possible to Edit the Phone Number which is stored on the Sim?
Thanks in advance
Kevin

It's no problem at all, @Kncowans. 🙂
It sounds like the number has transferred successfully from your previous network.
Yes, an iPhone would be perfect. You should be able to amend the number in Settings > Phone > My Number.
Hope this works for you.

Hello @Kncowans ,
Welcome to the community,
How long is it since you moved to EE? Have you tried restarting your phone, that is rebooting it?
Have you had a look in your My EE either online or via the app, to see that it is showing the correct number?

Hi @Kncowans
Welcome to the community. 🙂
If you could get back to us answering @Schockwave's questions, we'll do our best to help.
Do you have another phone that you could try the SIM card in? One in which you can amend the number in the phone settings? If you could try that and pop the SIM back into your phone, it should update it.

Hello
Thanks for the Reply.
I know I moved to EE This Week, possibly a couple of Days, apologies for the vague answer, with my Autism I tend to perceive Time differently to most.
I Rebooted the Phone when I received the Text instructing me to do so.
Yes, the correct Phone Number is showing in the My EE App.
Unfortunately, I do not have another Phone to try.
I know my Sisters Family use iPhones, would they do?
Thanks in advance
Kevin

@Kncowans , Do not worry, that is what we are here for, is to try and assist.
It does not matter what phone it is, you can put it in any phone, but if they are locked to another network, will not work, hope this helps. You may just need to reboot a few times for it to show your number on your phone.

Hello
I borrowed my Sisters iPhone, after having to convince her that it was a genuine issue.
I have now changed the Phone Number on the Sim and it is now showing correctly on my Samsung.
Thanks

Hello
Sorry, I just need to check something.
When I change the Phone Number using the iPhone should I add the +44 Prefix?
So I would enter:
+44 7721 000000
Or should I just enter the Phone Number as in:
07721 000000
I just want to make sure that I entered it correctly.
Thanks in advance
Kevin
