I got a new SIM card for my phone as my contract had run out but I wasn’t the one paying for it. My old one was an eSIM. It’s reading the SIM but it’s not connecting to the network so I can’t use my data.

@JoeHaggers contract don’t just terminate on the minimum term date they changed to 30 day rolling contracts until notice is given to terminate or you change network. so my question is has the account holder terminated the contract ? Not doing so will still result in billing .
Your new sim has a new number? Have you tried restarting the device a few times?
