SIM card issues

Hi,

I’ve had my phone contract just over 2 years with EE. I moved to SIM only a couple of weeks ago . I’ve started to have issues with my SIM card with ‘no sim’ being displayed with no mobile network. The network will eventually come back on but then go off again. I’ve tried re inserting my sim, switching phone of etc but that no longer works. I’ve even been sent a new sim and still have the same issue. I’ve been without connection to my network for over 24hrs now. When I place my partners SIM card into my phone it picks up the sim straight away likewise when I put my SIM card into my partners phone it works fine.
Any ideas?
thanks

This could be worth a try @Beechboy2000

If you do go ahead with this please ensure your phone is backed up.

I don’t believe my phone is the issue.

my phone displays ‘ No SIM card’. Today I put my sim in a friends iPhone on the ee network and the sim worked straight away. I placed my friends ee sim in my phone and it worked in my phone straight away.  It seems the issue to be the SIM card in my phone however I have had a replacement SIM card sent from ee and the same things happens. Any ideas?

Hi @Beechboy2000,

The symptoms you're seeing could point to a faulty SIM tray/reader in your phone.

As the issue is intermittent, the SIM cards you're inserting to test are able to work for a short period, just like your SIM does on occasion.
