Hi! Yesterday my SIM started saying “No SIM” in the mobile service settings on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I tried restarting the phone but it didn’t work to make the SIM work. I contacted EE and they said to restart the phone and make a call for 2 minutes. First time I made a call the SIM started working and showing 2 bars, but then it went to 0 bars and it said “Call Failed”. I managed to quickly turn on mobile data and make a call for 2 minutes. Everything worked, but then before I went to sleep my phone said “SIM Failure”. Can you tell me what made the SIM failure and why all of this happened?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@levnature Your Sim card is faulty. You need to request a replacement Sim. You could try giving the sim a clean.

Is the replacement free?

@levnature If you request via the EE app it’ll be free. You will though need to make sure you can receive a confirmation text. so you sim being iffy could be a problem.
If you call customer services there is a postage charge (£1.50 I think). If you go to a EE store to request a replacement sim you’ll just need in date photo ID with you.

@levnature Just following on from Chris_B's advice, there's no replacement fee if you pop into one of our stores. Chris S
