I have currently got the Samsung S23 ultra and am looking at the new S26 ultra. I am wanting to purchase the phone from Samsung as I can get a great offer on the trade in, but Samsung are not able to tell me if I can use my EE sim contract in this new phone due to the network not being available yet.
Does anyone know that if I make the purchase for the phone if my current EE sim only contract will work in the phone straight away?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@Miriam14 : Yes, it should do. Just move the SIM to the new phone.
What do mean by "the network not being available yet"? EE mobile network is available all the time & has been for yonks.

Hi @Miriam14
Yes, I always buy mine directly from Samsung and my Ultra should arrive Friday 🤞🏻.
Thanks

I suspect this is a reference to "this phone is not available for purchase from EE directly yet"
The overarching question has been answered though - as long as the new phone is of UK-spec then just put your existing SIM into the new phone.
