I recently got a replacement sim card and wanted to keep the same number. It should have arrived working as I said the old one was lost but it isnt working. It tells me I need to activate it. When doing this it says it is sending the pin to the number but nothing is revieved as obviously I dont have the old sim.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

The PIN to your old SIM is a standard security measure to prevent unauthorised SIM-swaps.
You'll therefore need to request the swap by contacting EE-CS from another phone and passing account security.
07953 966150 can be dialled from any working phone, landline or mobile

Hi @Chelsmc
Further to what @bristolian has advised above, if you are the account holder and you have an EE store nearby, you can visit the store with photo ID (either a passport or driving licence) and they can activate a SIM in store with your number.
