I have same issue been locked out of apple account because I need a code from my number but can’t get it coz I had a eSIM and deleted it from my phone tried to reactivate the eSIM but need a code again to activate it. I’ve ordered a physical sim will this work or will I need to activate it by having a code again which I won’t be able to get unless it activates has soon as it goes in the sim slot again? Or shall I ring to see if they can activate the eSIM online or shall i go to shop to see if I can get a sim there and then?

It sounds like you haven't ordered a replacement SIM if your number has been changed.
The best thing to do is call our team so we can check exactly what's happened here. If you've ordered a second SIM in error, our team will also be able to help get that sorted out, and issue a replacement SIM with the same number.
