Will have to go to the Oracle in Reading next week to get it unlocked i guess.

Or in there will try to sell me a smart phone out of my reach cost wise, so back to my old 2g one.

You'll find the PUK, to unblock your SIM after too many incorrect PIN attempts, in your online MyEE under Menu > Account Settings > Unlock your SIM.

Yes an 8 number which is blocked because the phone number is already used
by a different customer.

What do you mean when you say the phone number is already used by a different customer?

Are you not the original owner of the phone/SIM?
