Hello,
I transferred from BT to EE and started the process of porting my old number yesterday. Had a text from EE and BT to say that the process is now complete. Calls I make or receive are working as expected but text messages sent to my ported number from my contacts are not being received and messaged I am sending are arriving under my temporary number.
I am using a Samsung A32 5G. How do I resolve this issue please?
Many thanks

Solution for future customers (fantastic tech support btw): Samsung Galaxy A32 5G
1. Go to messages
2. Click on the three vertical dots
3. Click Settings
4. Click Chat Features
5. Disable Chat Features
The problem was with the previously enabled "Chat Features" within the messaging app.

@Hurricks Have you restarted your device since you got told the port is now complete?

@Chris_B Yes I have switched off the phone completely before switching it back on again. I have also tried "restart" a couple of times. It hasn't fixed the issue as yet.

Hi @Hurricks if you call 0800 956 3146 from any other phone they will be able to go through trouble shooting & check the status of your port.

Yes mine is the same. But turning off the chat feature doesn't cure the problem. All that does is stop you sending messages via RCS

Please give us a call on 150 and the team will perform a refresh on your account to see if this corrects the number for you.
