I need to get an eSIM for my SIM-only contract - what happens to the phsyical SIM, can I keep it as a backup - or if I need to change back to a phone which doesn't support eSIM? Thanks.

Morning @fademonkey
Thanks for coming back to us.
You can order a physical SIM at anytime in your EE app, there is a £1.50 fee. Or, you can visit an EE Store with photo ID for a replacement.
Leanne.

Hi @fademonkey,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Your physical SIM will be deactivated if you switch to eSIM.

Although there should be no requirement to have eSIM if you just want to change your price-plan. That's just a change of plan which can be done remotely on your existing SIM. Whether that's "e" or physical is immaterial.

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately, it's not to do with a plan change - but a phone change. Can I order a new physical SIM later if necessary? Will I be charged?
