New to EE help please?

Hi all!

when I joined EE last week I applied online and put the PAC code in that I got from 02. My new EE sim just arrived but it doesn’t seem to have come with my old O2 number pre loaded? So I text “port” as per the EE instructions but the text is asking for my PAC again?? Problem is I can’t remember what it is and o2 have essentially stopped helping me.
my question is, having already given ee my pac code during registration , now that I’ve activated my sim will it just transfer over in 24hrs or something? I’m confused. Many thanks.

Having already supplied EE with your PAC your no. should port within 1 working day of you activating your EE SIM on the EE network.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Hello @Kez2012 ,

Welcome to the community,

If you have given EE your PAC code, yes it will transfer within 24 hours, just keep on rebooting your phone from tomorrow, and you should then see that it has been completed, EE will let you know, once it has, otherwise I would suggest speaking to EE, your SIM card has a temporary number for now.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Any reference to "within 24hours" is misleading - the timeline is always "the next working day".

Weekends & bank holidays are not working days, and porting does not progress on these days.
