New sim not showing up. How long does it take

Just switched from 3 to ee. Got pac code, ordered new contract. New sim arrived popped in but have nothing bar WiFi

Does EE show up as an available network if you manually search?

It’s ok it was eventually sorted. They sent a faulty sim. New one oooped in and all is good
