New Sim not receiving code to link after moving from O2 to EE

Hi all!

So I decided to switch to EE from O2 after several issues, with this I switched my number over to the new sim.

I'm having issues with activating the sim/linking it to my EE app. It's working, I have data and the sim is showing up in my settings perfectly fine, I understand the number transfer will take 24 hours but that isn't an issue for me right now.

The app and the set up page on the website is asking for a code to verify my account while linking it to the app/activating the sim but the message isn't showing up, I've tried my number and the temporary number attached to the new sim and nothing. I don't want to spend ages on the phone so I'm asking here first if anyone has any solutions to this.
