I transferred my number from my old account. Everything works but for some reason I can’t make any calls or send texts. I chose and paid for the £10 deal where you get 24gig and then it turns to 8gig, unlimited texts and 500 minutes.
my minutes aren’t on the app when signing in only the data part. I can use anything whilst using data but can’t make normal calls or text through text message.

What do you mean by transferring your number from an old account? Do you mean that you've upgraded and thus kept your number as a matter of course? Or ported your number in from another network?
If the latter, when did you port in?
