New SIM not transferring old number

I sent a PAC code 3 days ago to EE to transfer my old number over from talk mobile. I had a confirmation text that it would be completed by 6pm today.  My old sim has been deactivated but the new Sim is still showing the new number. Why has my old sim stopped working when the transfer isn’t complete yet?

Port-ins are only actioned on working days, so it sounds like your PAC was (effectively) submitted on Monday 20th for port-in on Tuesday 21st.

It's quite normal for service to be split on the porting day, as service is migrated in different stages. Outgoing caller-ID, incoming calls, incoming texts, can all transfer over at different times.
