I live in a 5g area and I'm awaiting a new 5g phone any day soon.
The SIM I have in my phone at present is over 7 years old. I'm on a pay monthly package.
Will I need a new SIM to benefit from 5g on the new phone?

All EE SIMs support all radio technologies, from 2G > 5G.
If your SIM is especially old, it may not support 5G Standalone and will operate in 5G-NSA mode instead. This can be easily tested with your existing working SIM in your new phone.

Hi @flysplat
Not unless you need a SIM size. Your current SIM should work just fine.
Is your tariff 5G.
Thanks
