My physical sim telephone number does not match my esim number

I need to convert my physical sim telephone number to esim on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. When I click on the "convert to esim" function under mobile services, I noticed that my esim number is different from my physical sim number. When I call the esim telephone number, it says switched off. How do I change the esim number to my actual sim number before then converting my actual sim to esim?
