My new sim not working

Hello, I got a new SIM card yesterday, so basically what I did was I told them that I need the same number that I have on 3 to be transferred to my new SIM card they did that and gave me a SIM card and said it’ll automatically change tmrw that means today and the sim will be active, but when I pop the sim in there is nothing I can’t even make a call it’s saying I’ve dialled an incorrect number and no other person can call me it gives the same message. Can anyone pls help me

SIM cards activate within 24 hours, so if this time has now passed, please call us directly so we can double check what stage things are at. We can also make sure that your number port is set up to bring your number across from your previous supplier, and let you know any timescales.
