Moving from Vodafone to EE 10 days ago and number change hasn't happened yet

Hi,

I moved my number from Vodafone to EE. We filled out the forms and PAC code staff etc at the EE store with help of a customer representative on 30 November.  I have been told to use my Vodafone sim until stops working and change it to a new EE sim card when it stops.

Nothing happened until last week on Sunday, which was 4 days after. It was supposed to happen in 24 hours.

I went to the EE store again, and they told me it can take up to 5-6 days and wait for more because everything looks normal, PAC number etc. Now it has been 10 days. It looks like I will be paying for Vodafone and EE at the same time now.

I would appreciate any help from people who have been through this problem before.

Hello @kalibon ,

Welcome to the community,

Your best bet is to ring customer service and speak to them, as this is not customer service and there is no account access here.

Have you actually put your EE SIM card in the phone and rebooted it, by the way?

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

A PAC is normally actioned the next working day after it is submitted to the recipient operator.

If it's taken any longer than that, something has gone awry and you should contact your new network, which seems to be EE.

150 from an EE mobile, or 0800 0798586 from any other phone.

Thank you very much for all of your swift answers. I am writing below what i have been informed to help others experiencing the same problem.

I called 150.  The customer service told me that I should have been texted or called somebody from my new EE sim to help activating. I put on the simcard before to activate it but i didnt know that i need to use simcard this way.

Somehow, my number change is now scheduled on 13 December because of this -according to the customer service-and will change on the day automatically.

all the best and merry christmas all!

So the PAC is deemed to be submitted on Monday 12th, and is actioned the following working day.

@kalibon , you are welcome, glad to help and a Merry Christmas to you too!
