Mobile Sim vs Data Sim

Hi, I was wondering what the difference is between a mobile sim and a data sim?

Data-only plans often have a voice-bar on them.

  • A mobile phone SIM comes with a plan that includes calls, texts & data.
  • A data SIM comes only with data. That doesn't prevent it making calls & texts but you would have to pay for them.

There have been cases of people moving to data-plans and voice calls stopping working. The bar may be inadvertent, but it can happen.
