DONT DO IT, there is an ongoing issue with Lycamobile and EE. You will be stranded without number . EE has worst customer service ever, who will not take ownership and won't provide an ETA.

I ported on 30 Sep, I am stuck in limbo. EE customer service is not ready to provide any update or ETA to solve the issue.

To extrapolate from one poor experience, and suggest that everyone else "will" have the same experience, is poor advice. The vast majority of number ports complete successfully, and there are processes in-place for resolving individual issues.

I am on call with EE customer service right now, they said EVERYONE who is porting from Lyca WILL have problem.

I would be very minded to put that down to well-intentioned CS agents trying to be helpful, I stand by my previous post. It's entirely possible there is an issue between the two operators that could cause an issue, but to scaremonger helps no-one.

If an issue were guaranteed & certain, porting in the affected circumstances would likely be suspended.

I still do stand by my previous post. I am still on call with a manager in cs, he said this is wide spread issue for all the porting from Lyca to EE, as lycamobile was hacked close to end of September. I don't want others to face the agony that I am put through.

I don't doubt your intentions or what a CS bod may be telling you. All operators have processes in-place for dealing with MNP issues, I'm sure those are being followed.

Unfortunately the current industry-wide process does have a large element of being donor-controlled. I would say to the OP in this thread that the vast majority of number ports complete successfully.

@bristolian @Chris_B , there are so many posts in this community where people who have ported recently are complaining has something gone wrong with EE. I have been left in limbo for 2 weeks, there must be a justification for this!
