It doesn't work like that for Security reasons.
Your Sim is now expired so to speak, so you will need to Call EE on 0800 956 6000 and order a new Sim which will get delivered to your Account Address, or alternatively you can just pop into an EE Store with Proof of who you are (Photo ID) and get a New working replacement Sim while you wait.
