An eSIM is different to a traditional SIM in the sense that it's embedded in your phone, and your network profile is downloaded to this directly.
This can't be removed and swapped to a new handset like a traditional SIM Card, but Apple do offer the option to transfer your profile during setup of the new device.
You can find a guide on how to do this here:
Using an eSIM with an iOS Device | Mobile Help | EE
If the screen issues on your other iPhone are preventing this, I'd recommend popping into one of our retail stores with a valid passport or UK driving licence, and they can help get you a new SIM or eSIM activated.

@Danny971705 we cannot do anything here, you will have to do this yourself or speak to customer service, if you are unable to do this yourself.
Do you mean an ESim or physical SIM card? If ESim, you need a QR code to do this, how are you trying to activate this?
If on pay as you go, ESim is not available, you can only have a physical SIM card.
