I'm reading you as your son has an new SIM with Sky & wants to port his EE no. to it.
As he want to keep his number, text PAC to 65075. It will respond with his PAC & how much he will have to pay in Early Termination Fees if he is still within his min term. Give the PAC to new provider. This will have the effect of cancelling his EE contract but he may be liable to pay early termination fees. Best to do this in last few days of his contract term so he has little or no overlap.

Hello @Chrisbrown18599 ,
Welcome to the community,
This will depend which network he is with and which one he wants to move his SIM card to. If he is already with EE, then the simplest thing is to ring customer service to get his old number moved.
Why did he get a new SIM card with his iPhone and not just upgrade?
Need a little more information on this.

This won't work if he's already with EE on pay-monthly.. numbers are not moved between subscriptions, as that's what the upgrade process does.
Absolutely need more info here.

Only if you are bringing the old number to EE from another network. Otherwise your son should have ordered an upgrade, not a new line. Now he's got himself into a bit of a mess

Thanks for the info its very helpful . As he s only on pay as you go sim we are technically not tied in to a contract so we won't get a termination fee ( hopefully )
Never changed a number.ber from one provider to another as we have always stayed with the same provider (we are with sky and he was with ee)

Correct, there'll be no early termination fees on PAYG.
Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.
