I recently upgraded from an iPhone 12 with a physical SIM to an iPhone 15 with an eSIM (my phone has no physical SIM slot).
The move to the new phone went fine and all is working, but I can't configure the phone to require a PIN to activate the eSIM when I turn the phone on. This is how I had it setup before on the older iPhone and I'd like to do it again if possible, just as a precaution.
When I try to enable the SIM PIN in Settings > Mobile Service > SIM PIN it asks for a PIN, which I don't know. It isn't the PIN that I had on the old physical SIM, I've tried that.
Is there some sort of default eSIM PIN? Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Katie_B,
I have yes, but it doesn't say anything about the PIN for an eSIM. Can you help with my original question?
Cheers.
