EE sim card activation

I have just set up my sons new iphone, upgraded from iphone 11 to iphone 13.  I have inserted sim card from old iphone 11 into the new iphone 13 but I don't think it is being recognised!  Any ideas?

@af300506  Where did you get the iPhone 13 from ?    What does it say/show where cellular signal should be ( you need to open contrail centre and it’s on the top right ) 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

This was my old iphone 13 which was set back to factory settings. All apps and email has been successfully installed but no mobile data is showing,in top right corner of screen. Only wi-fi signal.  when I go to settings and mobile service under "mobile data it is showing mobile number (mobile data and personal)  this is not the same on my mobile!

Can I just check if you know the new phone was definitely unlocked, as this may be what is causing the problem.

@af300506 , just another thing, have you tried the SIM card when not connected to wifi to see if that works?
