Downloading esim from app question

Hello!

I'm using a temporary / old phone as my usual phone is awaiting to be replaced.

I'm just about to download the esim for my number on my temporary device but it says 'once you download the esim you won't be able to add it to another device'.

Basically, what happens when I get my new phone? Will I be able to download the esim on it or do I have to order a paper esim QR code?

Welcome to the community. 

Once you receive your new phone you will need a replacement QR code. 

Do you have a physical SIM you could use?
