My contract is currently suspended for financial reasons, if I were to put a pay as you go sim into my phone, will Services be reactivated whilst I pay off my contract??

Phones are normally only blacklisted in lost & stolen scenarios. Unless there's another reason why your device should be blacklisted, then the suspension should only apply to your SIM.

Putting another SIM in your phone wouldn't reactivate your plan, it would just turn your phone into a PAYG one. It's the SIM which gives a phone its number, and that number comes from whatever plan/subscription it's on.

Yes, @clooeyw , it's your contract no. that has been suspended due not paying for it, not any other no. you might buy.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

So would i be able to use mobile data etc rather than having to rely on WiFi all the time??

Would that mean changing my number?? Ive had my number for years & dont really want to change it.

I'm not sure what "that" is that you're referring to here, but as per my previous post... It's the SIM which gives a phone its number.

Your contract SIM has your contract number attached, a PAYG SIM will have that PAYG number attached. If your contract has been suspended or restricted for whatever reason, that's the number that you'll have problems using. The PAYG number is attached to the PAYG SIM and is both immaterial & unaffected.

Resolve the issue that has caused your contract line to be suspended, and you'll restore use of that SIM, that number.

Yes, your existing no. is suspended until you pay it up. That means you can't use it in any way; not make calls with it, not port it elsewhere.
